Aberystwyth Natural Terrain for Unconstrained Robotics (ANTUR)

ANTUR is a facility that allows testing of robots in a real environment that covers many different landscape and terrain types, ranging from smooth and hilly fields to steep banks, peat, tracks of different difficulties, etc. The site is split into two different areas, each having a small, secure workshop/office with Internet and power. The photo above shows the Brignant site. Users of the facility can also have access to our large robots, as well as bespoke hardware and software development.

ANTUR is a joint venture between The Field Robotics team of the Intelligent Robotics Research Group and the Pwllpeiran Upland Research Centre.

The facility is currently being developed (although already very useful) and we have plans for the future. Stay tuned.
